Gran Turismo 7

Sony has been releasing new behind-the-scenes videos for the upcoming racing sim Gran Turismo 7 of late, in which we’ve seen series producer Kazunori Yamauchi talk about various aspects of the game, from the way the experience will focus on automotive culture to its impressive roster of vehicles. Now, another new behind-the-scenes video has been released.

In this one, Yamauchi speaks about Gran Turismo 7’s audio design and haptic feedback very briefly. Yamauchi explains that each car will have its own unique sound, as you’d expect, and given the series’ track record in this area, you’d expect the next game to touch impressive heights here as well. Meanwhile, according to Yamauchi, depending on various factors (such as how your tires are interacting with surfaces), players will feel different kinds of vibrations thanks to the DualSense’s haptic feedback. You can get more details in the video below.

Gran Turismo 7 launches for PS5 and PS4 on March 4, 2022.
