Gran Turismo Creator Talks About Next Game in the Series

It may not necessarily be called Gran Turismo 7.

Gran Turismo Sport

Gran Turismo Sport represented a dramatic new direction for the series, but the gamble Sony and Polyphony Digital took with the game paid off- while it had a rough start, Gran Turismo Sport has been a success by all accounts, selling well, and continuing to get an impressive amount of post launch support by Polyphony.

Speaking about a future Gran Turismo game, however, Director Kazunori Yamauchi said that a future Gran Turismo might have the kind of customization that the series used to be known for, which Gran Turismo Sport did not have. He also said that he has also started to think of what the next game in the series might be like, though he has nothing concrete planned right now either way- except that it may not necessarily be called Gran Turismo 7.

For now, he added that GT League in Sport will continue to grow. GT Sport is out now on PS4 exclusively.
