We don’t have an official release date for it yet, but Gran Turismo Sport is in fact due out later this year. And it seems to be pretty close to official release too, since the game is in beta (and the beta is coming along pretty well) at the moment.
This isn’t just a glorified server stress test or multiplayer demo that other companies often release as betas, either. This is a proper beta test, which means feedback from the players is being taken into account, and changes to the game are being made accordingly.
To wit: the newest update to the beta, which actually makes some pretty dramatic changes to how Gran Turismo Sport plays. You can check out the full list of changes made below. Gran Turismo Sport will launch exclusively on PS4 later this year.
- Updated game physics.
- Updated force feedback.
- Corrected the sportsmanship rating judgement display.
- Quick options added to the Pause Menu.
- Fixed certain bugs.
