Gran Turismo Sport Getting Brand New Trailer May 19

The radio silence broken, at least.

Gran Turismo Sport

We haven’t seen much of Gran Turismo Sport ever since it was announced at Sony’s Paris Games Week conference last year- that, plus a history of horrific delays for previous games in the franchise, made a lot of people think that this game might miss its announced 2016 release window, too. However, it seems as though the game is coming along well, and that it is getting ready to break its radio silence next week.

“We’re thrilled to announce that on 19th May we’ll be streaming brand-new GT Sport footage from an exclusive London event, and sharing new details about the latest entry in Polyphony Digital‘s acclaimed racing series,” said producer Kazunori Yamauchi. “Not only that, but we’ll also be streaming Pre-Season Test of FIA Gran Turismo Championship Cups – the Nations Cup Pre-Season Test and the Manufacturer Fan Cup Pre-Season Test. We’re also lucky enough to have nine full-scale Vision GT Cars and two quarter-size models present at the event, which is a world first!”

So, new footage and a pre-E3 blowout next week. Hopefully followed by a release later this year.

GT Sport is due to launch in 2016 exclusively for the PS4.
