Gran Turismo Sport TGS Gameplay Shows Off A Race At Suzuka

It looks and sounds like Gran Turismo, all right.

The biggest – actually, the only – big first party exclusive for the PS4 that is yet to release this year is Gran Turismo SportGran Turismo is, of course, Sony’s biggest franchise in terms of sales and system selling capability (even if it has lost some of its luster in recent years), and especially in Japan and Europe- so naturally, Sony took the chance to show some of it off at TGS.

This gameplay video from the game, which you can see for yourself below, shows us a race at the Japanese circuit Suzuka. As we can see, the game seems to have come along well in terms of graphics, and in terms of actual racing mechanics and style, it is very clearly Gran Turismo. So far, so good. What is likely to make or break this game with fans is its emphasis on an eSports like real time driven live online challenges, as well as it having lesser content than the previous games in the franchise.

That doesn’t even have to be a bad thing- there is, after all, something to be said for paring things back and getting some focus. Hopefully, Gran Turismo Sport turns out to be a case of just that when it launches exclusively on the PS4 next month.
