As Gran Turismo Sport nears its release date, Sony has been doing its best to promote the game. Nissan has made a Dualshock-controlled car to promote the game, using robots and a micro-computer to make the vehicle move.
The demo of the game was released recently and allowed players to access the main features of the game (albeit with a cap) ahead of the official release. The beta drew over 1 million players right off the bat causing some server problems. The game’s producer Kazunori Yamauchi expressed surprise at the number of players and also informed that the servers have now been stabilized.
We’ve also got a new trailer for the game from Sony Australia which stars their local driver Matt Simmons who was also the winner of GT Academy 2015. There have also been a number of short promo clips released in Japan which you can check out below.
The game is set to release on October 17th in North America and October 18th in Europe exclusively for the PlayStation 4.
We've implemented what remedies we can for the server at the present time, and the service has now stabilized. #GTsport
