Gran Turismo 6 might not release on PS3

Gran Turismo 6 might not come to PS3. Maybe.

Polyphony Digital boss and GT legend, Kazunori Yamauchi has told Eurogamer that he “doesn’t know if Gran Turismo 6 will be finished in time for a release on PS3.

“Ten years ago it was easier to predict what would happen three years in the future,” Yamauchi said at GT5’s launch party in Madrid last night.

“Nowadays no-one knows what happens in the future. In three years, we don’t know what will happen.”

Kaz also promised GT fans that the game will be constantly updated to provide the best possible experience to players.

The first update will take care of some online issues which the racer seems to be suffering from:

“Online updates are planned of course for leaderboards and matchmaking – [they’re] all planned in the process of evolution,” said Yamauchi.

Kaz earlier confirmed that work on GT 6 has already begun and the release of Gran Turismo 5 is the start of a new era for the series.
