The Granblue Fantasy series made the decision to branch out into uncharted territories with the launch of fighting title Granblue Fantasy: Versus in the early months of 2020, and it’s a decision that seems to have paid off for Cygames.
The publisher has announced that Granblue Fantasy: Versus has sold over 1 million units worldwide across all platforms. The game, which received its final update earlier this year, had sold over 450,000 units as of November 2020, so it’s maintained decent momentum where its sales are concerned.
Of course, Granblue Fantasy fans have plenty to look forward to in the coming months. The follow-up to Versus, Granblue Fantasy Versus: Rising, is set to launch for PS5, PS4, and PC in November, while action RPG Granblue Fantasy: Relink is due out sometime this Winter. Cygames recently also confirmed that new details on both games will be shared in September, so stay tuned.
