Grand Theft Auto 5 is now available for the Xbox One and PS4, marking its debut on the current generation of consoles (with the PC version still to release in January 2015). Though there have been some issues for those transferring their characters from the PS4 to PS3 and Xbox 360 to Xbox One, everything seems more or less dapper.
With that in mind, Rockstar has confirmed that a day one patch for the game is now live and will be required for playing Grand Theft Auto Online. The patch is 1.14 GB – if you’re unable to download it, then you can still play the single-player campaign. However, multiplayer won’t be accessible without it.
Grand Theft Auto 5 on PS4 and Xbox One adds a ton of new features over the previous generation. Along with a complete visual revamp, there are new radio stations and songs, new weapons, new missions and a brand new first person mode which works great.
