Rockstar Games’ Grand Theft Auto 5 for the PS4 and Xbox One has debuted in the UK and wasted no time in becoming the #1 selling title of all time. This is according to Gfk Chart-Track’s UKIE game charts and despite the lack of actual sales figures, it’s still a really big deal. Keep in mind that sales for the PS4 and Xbox One are combined with the already high PS3/Xbox 360 install base.
The earlier record holder was Call of Duty: Black Ops and even though the recently released Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare performed better than Ghosts, it still couldn’t topple its ancestor.
There are were some other strong releases this week. Despite sales figures only being compiled up to November 22nd and the game releasing on the 21st, Dragon Age: Inquisition managed to enter into fifth place. Far Cry 4 entered in second, showing that the brand is still very strong despite Ubisoft facing many quality control problems. Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare is in third while FIFA 15 is at fourth.
And interestingly, Halo: The Master Chief Collection is at tenth place. Thoughts on the results? Let us know below.
