Grand Theft Auto 6 Hints Seemingly Dropped by Actor

Bryan Zampella, who's long been rumoured to be playing one of Grand Theft Auto 6's two main protagonists, has dropped what seem to be pretty blatant teases for Rockstar's highly anticipated megaton.

Rockstar has been plugging away on the next Grand Theft Auto game behind the scenes for a while, and anticipation surrounding its release continues to mount (even as Grand Theft Auto 5’s sales keep ballooning over a decade on from its launch). While official information on the game has been next to nonexistent though, some teases have been trickling out here and there.

Plenty of those have come from actor Bryan Zampella, who has long been rumoured to be playing one of Grand Theft Auto 6’s two main protagonists. Named Jason, the character was seen in early development footage that leaked last year.

Zampella has frequently taken to social media in recent months to drop teases about his role in GTA 6, and did so recently once more. During a live video on Instagram, in conversation with former Rockstar cinematographer Joseph L. Rubino, Zampella cheekily made mention of having “missions” to do and stealing cars, about an big unannounced project that he has been working on but can’t talk about just yet, and about being in Miami. The fictional city of Vice City, which is based on Miami, is said to be Grand Theft Auto 6’s setting. Check out the clip below, courtesy of @GTAVI_Countdown on Twitter.

Recently, Rockstar’s parent company Take-Two Interactive said that it was planning to release “several groundbreaking titles” in the next fiscal year, which it expects will enable it to achieve a record amount of net bookings, over $8 billion. That, as you might imagine, has led to speculation that that’s the release window currently being targeted for Grand Theft Auto 6. Read more on that through here.
