GRIME Colors of Rot

Clover Bite’s GRIME, a side-scrolling Souls-like Metroidvania set in a surreal fantasy world, is getting some free DLC in Colors of Rot. It will be available first for PC and Stadia and bundled with the Nintendo Switch version when it launches. The developer also confirmed Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, PS4, and PS5 versions are in development.

A release window wasn’t confirmed, but we know what to expect. There will be a new “massive” area to explore with new Traits, abilities, enemies and weapons. New NPC interactions, Achievements, music, and bosses are also included, along with a new cinematic. If that weren’t enough, you can revisit previous areas to complete hidden challenges.

Some quality-of-life features include refreshing healing by taking out runners, and the option to fight endgame versions of bosses once the final boss is defeated. Performance optimizations and other “highly requested changes” – like equipping weapons below the stat requirements for a “steep damage penalty” – are also included. Stay tuned for more details in the meantime.
