Grow Home, Ubisoft’s New Downloadable Game, Available on Steam

Based on Jack and the Beanstalk, Grow Home is Ubisoft's newest passion project.

Ubisoft has had a penchant for allowing its AAA designers and teams to work on smaller, “passion projects” over the past few years. It’s resulted in some great games like Child of Light, Far Cry 3: Blood Dragon and Valiant Hearts: The Great War and the newest one to join the ranks is Grow Home. Available today for Steam, you can check out the launch trailer for the game above.

Grow Home focuses on a robot who must climb back into orbit to reach its spaceship. Along with using a climbing system for controlling each hand separately, you’ll need to a create a beanstalk to eventually reach orbit. A combination of different materials influences the beanstalk’s growth. It’s intriguing and looks quite pretty.

Grow Home is available for $8 and you can pick it up here. What are your thoughts on the launch trailer or the game in question? Let us know in the comments.
