Overhaul The Crime System
Grand Theft Auto has a fine enough crime system, but it’s hopelessly outmatched by the system featured in Red Dead Redemption 2 which is a lot more transparent with its workings. Committing crimes can have long-standing consequences in the form of big bounties. Players can don masks to hide their identities, or even get by unscathed with a crime in the odd case there’s no witness. Even if there are any witnesses, Arthur has the opportunity to dispatch them too before they report to the authorities. While the crime system that Rockstar will implement in GTA 6 doesn’t have to be a one-to-one copy of Red Dead 2, it can certainly take some cues from it nevertheless, and perhaps make it even better.
