GTA V Players Reporting Choppy Framerates on PC After Latest Update

Rockstar says it is looking into it.

GTA 5 PC

If it’s not one thing, it’s the other- players of Rockstar’s Grand Theft Auto V on PC are reporting that the game is suffering from choppy performance and dropped framerates following  the recent ‘Ill-Gotten Gains’ part two update for the game’s online multiplayer mode. Interestingly enough, it seems the drops are not just confined to the multiplayer side of the game, and that the singleplayer campaign is also experience drops.

Rockstar, on its part, seems to be aware of the issues, and is purportedly looking into them. “We have received reports of lower framerate in GTAV and GTA Online after Title Update 1.28 on PC, and we are looking into these reports now.”

I guess it’s nice to receive an acknowledgement, but we don’t know when the issue will be fixed- if you have the PC version of the game, and you have not yet updated it, it may be for the best to not do so for the time being.
