Guerrilla Games’ New PS4 Exclusive Is ‘Really Awesome’

Guerrilla Games was literally right at the forefront of the PS4 revolution, ushering in the console with their launch title Killzone Shadow Fall, the newest entry in their long running premier first person shooter franchise. Now, with that title released and out of the way, they are looking ahead to what comes next- and it might not necessarily be more Killzone, reports Eurogamer.

Said Guerrilla producer Poria Torkan “It’s really awesome!” he said. “It’s exciting times. If I even say one word people will kill me.”

“If you compare Shadow Fall to the first games on the PS3, so if this is like the first generation of games which are coming, who knows what they will be like in four or five years,” Torkan said.

“Compare the first games that came out on the PS3 to The Last of Us or GTA5. It’s amazing. That’s the thing. We had two-and-a-half years to figure out what we wanted to do with our engine and one-and-a-half years to figure out what we wanted to do with the hardware. Imagine when comparably technically advanced studios get four or five years under their belts with the hardware.

Honestly, that all sounds exciting, but it also sounds like we are unlikely to see this new game at this E3, as has long been rumored, which is just a little sad. But at the very least it sounds like the wait will be worth it.
