The PS4 version of the zombie survival MMO, H1Z1, is still a thing- and we will be getting new details on it soon, executive producer Chris Wyn has confirmed.

H1Z1 is currently out on PC; it is one of the numerous DayZ clones that sprung up in response to the mod’s unexpected success, and even though it had a bumpy launch, it has seen a fair measure of success since then. The PS4 version was announced back when Daybreak Entertainment was still Sony Online Entertainment. However, the sale of SOE, and the subsequent radio silence on the PS4 version led many to speculate that the PS4 version may have been canceled silently.

“Thanks everyone for the kind words. Everyone is asking about a PS4 [of H1Z1] version, news on that coming soon!” Wyn promised on Twitter.

How Daybreak manage to adapt the PC game to the PS4 remains to be seen. Also what remains to be seen is whether the game will now come to the Xbox One as well, since Daybreak is no longer Sony owned, and since they have expressed an interest in bringing their games over to the Xbox One previously as well.
