Half Life 3 Being Played on Xbox One (But Not Really)

Remember how we began to doubt the existence of Half Life 3’s development until one fine day, it was confirmed that Valve had teams working on the game – which nonetheless remains in bits and pieces and is nowhere near resembling a full game? A screenshot has been doing the rounds recently, which indicates that some one, somewhere, is playing the Half Life 3 beta co-op on the Xbox One…

…And it sounds stupider than it looks. Check out the obviously bad Photoshop below (see how the text doesn’t line up with the Netflix text below it?).

Even a user who is confirmed to be working at Epic Games has stated on Reddit that it’s fake and also encouraged gamers to not lose hope.

If only it were that easy.

Regardless, we won’t find out anything new about Half Life 3 unless Valve Software explicitly wants us to (or something slips through the cracks, which happened roughly once or twice in the past, oh, NINE YEARS). Will we ever see the end of Gordon Freeman’s saga? The wait continues.
