Wouldn’t you want a Half-Life movie? Gordon Freeman kicking ass and taking names on a big screen is something I definitely would want.

Fede Alvarez who became big using YouTube was showing interest in a Half-Life movie but he said he couldn’t do it because Spielberg was interested. What?

“This is definitely doing something that I’ve always dreamed of it a movie,” Alvarez said in a Yahoo! interview. “I really want to someday make a Half-Life movie. But I’ve heard it’s impossible because Spielberg wanted to do it.”

He is trolling surely? Valve was in talks with JJ Abrams for a Half-Life film recently, and we are not sure where Spielberg fits into this picture. But if you remember the film Super 8 both these directors worked together in that film, and maybe something could be possible here as well?

This was originally found on a German site, and the translation is pretty awful. So take it with a pinch of salt.
