Half Life 3 References and Mentions Found In SteamVR Performance Tool Files

I can't even muster the energy to say 'it's happening' at this point.

At this point, I imagine most people are just too tired to even care for Half Life 3‘s continued absence from, well, existing. I am sure that most of these people will get incredibly hyped and pumped for the game, if and when it is ever announced- but with Valve’s continued refusal to discuss the future (and conclusion) of the series that put them on the map in the first place, I think a lot of fans would be well justified in checking out, if only for a while.

But then, here we are again- a lot of references to Half Life 3 have been found in SteamVR Performance Tool files.. This is certainly interesting- while it’s nothing conclusive, it seems to indicate that some level of Half Life 3 development is currently underway, even if it is entirely on the technical backend, and nothing that will ever be released to the public.

That said, what is most interesting to me is the fact that these files were found in the SteamVR performance tool- especially given Valve’s staunch stance on Half Life in VR in the past.

If Half Life 3 really exists, and is under development, my hope is that it will be announced some time soon in the near future. Enough of stringing your fans along like this, Valve.
