Half Life 3: Will Gabe Newell’s Upcoming AMA Have Something To Reveal?

A chance to find out about Valve's longest running mystery/gag?

Half Life 3 is an elusive mystery. While we know it exists, in bits, pieces or just the concept stage where nothing is a given and everything is permitted, Valve Software still hasn’t offered us a tangible impression or whole that could be taken as a sold step forward. Interestingly though, we may be getting that chance very soon.

Valve boss Gabe Newell promised Reddit users that should a charity of his choice reach $500,000 in donations, he’d do an AMA (Ask Me Anything) session. One user posted this letter from the Seattle Children’s Hospital, which indicates the amount was indeed raised. Now all that’s left is for Newell to do the AMA.

And what kind of AMA would it be? It would be an opportunity to ask about Half Life 3. About Source 2, Portal 3, Team Fortress 3, Left 4 Dead 3 and a number of other things that Valve is busy with. Of course, Gabe could just be willing to keep us waiting for the AMA until we snap. Isn’t that his forte?

We’ll find out in the coming weeks. Would like you find out about Half Life 3 as much as we do straight from the source? Let us know in the comments below.
