HTC’s Vive was announced a few days ago and while the VR headset would have turned its fair share of heads alone, it gained further attention when it was revealed that Valve Software would be collaborating on the project. HTC chairwoman Cher Wang spoke to BBC yesterday about Valve potentially bringing over its top games to the VR device.

Of course, when Wang said she hoped Half Life would be one of those titles, it sparked a large range of rumours. Wang has since clarified that, “Regarding my BBC interview with Dave Lee yesterday, I would like to apologise for any confusion caused when I referred to individual games titles.

“In response to a question on specific games, I misspoke when I referred to our working together with Valve on a particular game, when instead I meant our collaboration with Valve on developing next-generation virtual reality experiences for gaming. I am very excited about the work we are doing with Valve, and look forward to bringing our HTC Vive to market later this year.”

So no Half Life for the Vive (yet). What are your thoughts on the matter? Let us know below.
