Halo 5: Guardians Missing From Xbox One Line Up At Gamescom 2014

But there will be a lot of stuff for Halo: The Master Chief Collection.

Halo 5: Guardians

It seems that Halo 5: Guardians will not be making an appearance at the Gamescom event next week. Microsoft have officially announced its Xbox One line up and Halo 5 is no where to be seen. Given that Gamescom is one of the major gaming expos of the year, it’s kind of shocking that Microsoft will not be bringing one of its heavy weight titles to the event.

Given the recent loss of Dead Rising 3 and Ryse Son of Rome’s Xbox One exclusivity, one would expect Microsoft to show off Halo 5, cementing their authority in first person shooters but their entire focus is on Halo: The Master Chief Collection. The event will offer 4v4 tournament, multiplayer hands on and live stream of the remastered edition. Microsoft will also reveal yet-to-be-announced map with multiple game types.

Halo 5: Guardians launches in 2015, exclusively for the Xbox One. The game might use VR technology to further enhance the gameplay. For more on the game check out our wiki here.
