Halo 5 Guardians

Just a few days ago, we saw a rather impressive looking opening cinematic for Halo 5: Guardians. Now the game’s developers are talking about just how good the graphics inside the game are going to be as well as giving us some new details about the cutscenes and other little tidbits. 343 also explained why there has been such a large focus on Spartan Locke instead of the Master Chief. Holmes recently started talking about this in the Halo forums and made it very clear that the reason the marketing campaign has focused on Locke is because we already know plenty about the Master Chief.

Holmes has said that the Halo universe has always been bigger than Master Chief and the company is working hard to make sure that we get to know this new Spartan. When it comes to the opening cinematic and the cutscenes that are included in the game, Holmes took to Twitter to explain that the cinematic that we all saw in that video was done in-engine. He added that the majority of all the cinematics in the game are done in-engine.

Holmes says that opening cinematic was used done in-engine as far as the character models along with pre-rendered CG and post FX. all of this sounds like pretty good news when it comes to the quality of the graphics in the game as you’re playing as well. While it might take some getting used to when it comes to focusing less on the Master Chief, Holmes isn’t wrong when he says that Halo universe is bigger than one man. Halo 5: Guardians releases exclusively for the Xbox One on October 27, 2015.
