343 Industries shed some light on the upcoming Warzone multiplayer mode. Among the information that has been divulged is that the best way to win this particular mode is to destroy the power core, according to a post on the Halo Waypoint Blog. The company says that it has put in a great deal of work when it comes to getting that particular multiplayer mode just right. There was apparently quite a bit of testing done to make sure the mode felt well balanced too.

Part of the reason the company decided to put in this particular way to win was so that teams that are losing can still find a way to win. 343 pointed out that there are a number of people who tend to quit multiplayer matches because they are too one-sided and there’s no hope to win. By adding in this kind of feature to Warzone, even a team that is getting its butts handed to it can pull out a victory from the jaws of defeat.

Adrian Bedoya, Multiplayer Level Designer said that there was once a more complicated method of destroying the power core, but in the interest of helping overmatched players, they made it a bit easier. That doesn’t mean that it’s incredibly simple, but those who are finding it hard to score wins don’t need to feel as though everything is helpless. Of course, players can also win the old fashioned way, by killing their enemies and racking up points. This info follows the revelation earlier this month that the Warzone map is the biggest multiplayer map 343 has ever put in a Halo game.

Halo 5 is releasing for the Xbox One on October 27.
