Halo 5 PC Rumors Shot Down by Microsoft

"There are no plans to port Halo 5 to PC."

Yesterday, we reported on the latest round of rumors regarding a possible PC version of 343’s Halo 5: Guardians, which launched last year exclusively on the Xbox One, and to this day remains one of the very few Xbox One exclusives that haven’t jumped ship to PC as well.

Today, however, Microsoft issued a statement to PC Gamer, clarifying, yet again, that they do not in fact plan to launch Halo 5 for PC, and that they remain committed to their strategy of delivering experiences tailored to the platform.

“Our approach is to deliver epic Halo experiences designed for PC gamers and Windows 10, such as Halo Wars 2 and the recently announced Halo 5: Forge. There are no plans to port Halo 5: Guardians to PC,” they said.

Could it still happen? I mean, theoretically, yes. But this is a very explicit denial of these rumors by Microsoft- far less ambiguous than PR responses like this usually are. I’m gonna say, let it go PC bros. If you want to play Halo that badly, get an Xbox.
