Halo Infinite Firefight Gauntlet

We wouldn’t have blamed you for looking at Halo Infinite’s Operation: Infinite update with a tinge of sadness. It was supposed to be the very last content drop for a title that had its troubles but managed to pull through over the years and offer some competitive fun.

But it seems that Halo studios isn’t quite done with the title just yet, and the Spartans now have a new PvE mode called Firefight: Gauntlet. You’re going to be taking on a bunch of enemies and bosses across five areas, with a small stop to resupply in between. Progressing to the next area means defeating the boss in the one you’re currently in, and things get pretty interesting when you factor in “upgradeable attributes, elimination objectives, and auto-scaled difficulty settings to a boss-filled Firefight experience.”

It’s probably safe to say that you’re going to need to bring your best skills, as each area gets progressively harder than the last one, and the developers have also been emphatic about retrieving a certain Oddball from the Harbinger. We’ll let you figure that one out for yourselves.

We already find Halo Infinite quite fun to play, and this new mode is sure to keep a lot of you coming back to this one as we wait for more news about Halo: Campaign Evolved.
