Halo Wars 2 Open Beta To Start Next Week- Rumor (UPDATE: First Screenshots Leaked)

It seems as though Microsoft will be holding an open beta for their upcoming Halo Wars 2, the sequel to the Xbox 360 exclusive RTS currently being developed by The Creative Assembly, next week- as MondoXbox reports, a reader of theirs looking at Major Nelson’s Xbox Live profile realized that Major Nelson was following Halo Wars 2 Open Beta. Upon going to that game’s store page, they discovered that the beta is apparently due to begin on June 13, and end on June 20.

This checks out- I can perfectly well see Microsoft announcing that Halo Wars 2 is playable via an open beta for all Xbox players right now during their conference- it’s the kind of mic drop announcements that a lot of companies like to make.
