Microsoft showed off a brand new trailer for Halo Wars 2 today at their E3 presser, showing us what to expect from the Creative Assembly developed sequel to the original RTS spin off of the Halo franchise. The trailer looked pretty neat, although we didn’t get to see much gameplay footage in it.
Not that we have to wait to see what the game plays like- 343 Industries and Microsoft confirmed that a week long open beta for the game is available now, meaning everyone sitting at home can get a look at what the game will be like. The game will, naturally, be playable on the showfloor as well.
Finally, The Creative Assembly and 343 Industries confirmed that Halo Wars 2 won’t be launching this year, as has been expected- instead, it will be launching a teensy bit later, on February 21 next year. Given how stacked the lineup for this year seems to be, I don’t think that will be a problem, though.
