Editors Note: After getting numerous requests via emails and comments we have finally decided to do video comparison of upcoming games. Having said that we won’t be ditching our pretty popular screenshot comparisons, but yes you will see more of these video comparisons from now on.

What better way to kick off our latest feature than comparing a PlayStation 3 exclusive versus another PlayStation 3 exclusive. A prequel versus a sequel. Yes, we are talking about infamous and infamous 2.
inFamous is turning out to be a huge franchise for Sony and Sucker Punch with the anticipation for the sequel at an all time high. The 2009 game, infamous was a great game but had some uneven game play which made sure that infamous would never reach the height of perfection.

With inFamous 2, the team at Sucker Punch are pulling their best stuff together. Now let’s take a look at how the sequel has actually improved since the original. We have divided this video feature in to three core parts:

  • Platforming: These video will show how the game looks and feels while Cole is sliding across wires and jumping from one building to another.
  • Action: This video will show how infamous 2 has better game play mechanics then the first one.
  • Cutscenes: In this video we will try to find any differences between the style and representation of the cutscenes.

Platforming:

Platforming seems to be the same in both the games. But I can sense that the gameplay is a bit quicker in the sequel. Obviously the video is enough proof that it’s much sleeker and smoother in the sequel and the Cole is much more athletic (hell! He can do cyclonic kicks now!).
