Hearthstone: The Witchwood, A Brand New Expansion for the Game, Announced

Adds 135 new cards, plus a new Dungeon Run mode.

Blizzard’s Hearthstone is one of the most popular games in the world, with its deceptively simple seeming surface masking a deep and competitive eSports scene. It also continues to be one of the most successful examples of a AAA free to play game we have seen so far.

A lot of this has to do with just how excellent Blizzard’s support for the title has been- whether it be balance fixes or new content, they have been very receptive to the community so far. The newest expansion for the game, which was just announced today, will hopefully continue that trend.

It’s called The Witchwood, and it adds 135 brand new cards, plus a new Dungeon Run experience called Monster Hunt. You can check out full details of what all that entails for yourself in the video below. Hearthstone: Heroes of Warcraft is available to play right now on PC, Mac, iOS, and Android.
