Earlier today, PlayStation have released a new trailer for their new tactical shooter game, Helldivers. At this time, very little is known about Helldivers, other than some minimal plot points, and that it will be a PlayStation exclusive 2014 release across PS3, PS4, and PS Vita.
From what we can gather from the trailer, the plot of Helldivers centers around an elite military unit of the titular name which you will control, who will utilize advanced weaponry to fend off the enemies of mankind. It’s tough to see just who exactly we will be fighting in Helldivers, but it’s safe to assume they’ll be alien and they won’t come in piece.
In terms of game play, it looks like players will control multiple units at a time, necessitating the use of team-based tactics to from a more effective squadron. If what we’ve gathered the content of the plot to be is correct, odds are that we will see not only a myriad of man made earthly weapons, but also some cool alien tech which players can hijack and use against the enemy.
