The Last Campfire

No Man’s Sky developer Hello Games appeared during Nintendo’s Indie World Showcase to showcase The Last Campfire. It’s coming to Nintendo Switch in Summer 2020 and offers an altogether different tone than the studio’s previous games. Check out the first trailer below.

The story follows a lost ember who’s looking for a way home. Along the way, it will solve puzzles, help out various characters, explore strange ruins and encounter all kinds of mysteries. The premise is centered on lighting the “last campfire,” with environmental story-telling used in place of overt dialogue. All in all, this is looking like a solid puzzle adventure game with a beautiful art-style.

The Last Campfire will also be coming to PC via Steam this Summer along with PS4 and Xbox One. Considering Hello Games’ reputation for No Man’s Sky and the acclaim it’s received over recent years, it should be interesting to see the response to its newest title. Stay tuned for more news and developments from the recent Indie World Showcase in the meantime.
