Squanch Games’ comedic first person shooter High on Life launched for Xbox and PC last week, and though it’s been met with lukewarm reception from critics (it currently sits at a score of 69 on OpenCritic), it doesn’t seem like its sales are being impacted too much by the reviews.
As per SteamDB, High on Life was the best-selling game on Steam in its launch week. In the charts, which ranks all the best-sellers based on the revenue they’ve generated, the shooter sits only behind the Steam Deck- which, of course, generates much greater revenue than most games thanks to its higher price points. Significantly, however, High on Life is sitting above the likes of heavy-hitters like Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2, FIFA 23, God of War, and more.
That’s particularly impressive given the fact that the game is also available via Game Pass- speaking of which, it’s also the fourth most played game on Xbox in the US right now, behind only Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2, Fortnite, and Grand Theft Auto 5. It currently ranks higher than the likes of Apex Legends, Overwatch 2, NBA 2K23, Destiny 2, Rainbow Six Siege, and more. In the UK, meanwhile, it’s the seventh most played game on the platform right now.
High on Life is available on Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, and PC.
