After recently being discovered on the PlayStation backend, Squanch Games’ High On Life is available on PS4 and PS5. Previously exclusive to Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S and PC (also available on Game Pass), it retails for $59.99 on the PlayStation Store. Check out the launch trailer below.

From the creator of Rick and Morty, High On Life sees the player as a high school graduate. Suddenly, an alien cartel invades Earth and kidnaps humanity. Together with a talking gun, you venture to the different planets to fight against Garmantous and battle all kinds of enemies. If you enjoyed the irreverent humor of the Rick and Morty series, there’s plenty of it here.

In a press release, Squanch Games studio director Mike Fridley said, “The fans have spoken. And spoken. And spoken. We’ve been thrilled with High On Life‘s reception since it launched in December. Our PlayStation fans have been slightly less thrilled. Which is why we’re so excited to share that it’s coming their way very soon. Like now, soon! Thank you for your patience!”

High On Life was the biggest third-party launch in Game Pass history in December 2022, with 7.5 million players in April 2023. It will receive some paid DLC, High On Knife, later this Fall for all platforms. Stay tuned for more details in the meantime.
