Legendary items, sabotaging/defending base generators, destroying bases with Anchor Stones - but still no official update from Wildlight.

We’re officially four days away from the launch date of Highguard, and there have been no updates from Wildlight Entertainment since its official reveal. Is it actually out on January 26th? What time? Was it really Geoff Keighley’s idea to have it go on last at The Game Awards? If there’s only one certainty, it’s that the free-to-play PvP raid shooter isn’t dead, as PlayStation 5 Trophies have emerged.

As discovered by Exophase, there are 33 in total for a whopping 1260 Points, and they include the usual winning under certain conditions, completing a specific number of matches in Raid Mode, getting kills on horseback and so on. However, we know now about a few mechanics – like how matches can go into Overtime and that enemy bases can be destroyed using only an Anchor Stone.

You can also sabotage enemy generators or defuse your own when attacked; take out enemy mounts; and use something called a Domesplitter to venture inside a hostile base. Loot rarity is a thing, and it’s possible to equip up to three Legendary items, the highest tier. Of course, if you’re not able to find something to your liking, there are vendors to purchase from.

None of this really answers whether Highguard is indeed launching next Monday, but at this point, we wouldn’t be surprised at a last-minute delay. Stay tuned for further updates, as always.
