IO may be claiming that Hitman: Absolution is not a Blood Money follow up, and that it may even be part of a timeline alternate to the rest of the series, but Raymond Benson’s Novel ‘Hitman: Damnation’ is singing quite a different tune: The cover calls it an “official prequel and the novel is meant to take place between Blood Money and Absolution.
In the novel, 47 is tasked worth assassinating several important American political figures, but notices a few discrepancies partway through the assignment. The Novel is expected for release some time this year.
