Hitman Will Be Getting Its First ‘Elusive Target’ Within The Next 10 Days

Meanwhile, the first Escalation Contract is available now.

One of the ways that Hitman will keep its players returning to it will be with periodic post launch ‘live content.’ This includes things like the ‘Elusive Targets,’ which are basically targets that spawn in the game for 48 hours, are one time only, cannot be detected with your Instinct, and, if you fail to kill them once, disappear forever.

The first of these will be showing up in the game within the next 10 days some time- this will be a new character with a full backstory and unique dialog. But players don’t have to wait 10 days for the next bit of post launch content either, as the first Escalation Contract is available in the game right now, with the second one due to arrive next Tuesday.

So it looks like IO Interactive are pretty committed to the idea of an episodic, living game- they have certainly got a strong start here, with a great first episode, and some strong post launch content. Let’s hope they can keep this going!

Hitman is available on Xbox One, PS4, and PC.
