One of the greatest games of all time – certainly in the upper echelons of Metroidvania games, if nothing else – Hollow Knight, is now on sale for a ridiculously low price. The game is available for $9.89 on Steam, and $9.90 on the Switch eShop, down from the $15 that it usually costs. Yes, of course it’s 1 cent more expensive on the Switch- there has to be the requisite Switch Tax.
Even at $15, the game is practically a steal- it has an incredible amount of content, that has been supplemented with some great post launch expansions, all of which are entirely free. Today actually marks the release of the newest one of those expansions, Godmaster (formerly known as Gods and Glory), which is also presumably why the game is on sale right now. At less than $10, this becomes the easiest, and most recommended game purchase that I can think of.
The game is on sale all across the world too, so no matter where you are, you get to grab it for cheaper. If you don’t have a Switch or a gaming PC, you don’t have to worry, because Hollow Knight will launch on PS4 and Xbox One next year.
