Tallnecks are completely docile machines, and you don’t ever fight any of these in Horizon Zero Dawn– but they still deserve a high spot in this list because of their excellent visual design, and how synonymous with the Horizon property that has made them. Tallnecks are also one of the most unique takes on the open world “towers” mechanic that can otherwise feel quite bland and generic, and the different twist to that formula here is definitely appreciated.
