Hotline Miami

We already know that that Hotline Miami would be arriving for the PlayStation 4 in the near future but now publisher Devolver Digital has confirmed that it will come with a cross-buy option. If you’ve already purchased the game for PS3 or PS Vita, you’ll receive the PlayStation 4 version for free.

This was confirmed in a conversation with Destructoid, where Devolver Digital’s Nigel Lowrie stated, “We’re going to bring Hotline Miami 1 to PS4…and we’re going to keep it cross-buy because we feel that if the user has already bought it for a PlayStation platform, they have the right to own it on Vita, on PS4, on PS3. It’s different on PlayStation to PC because they’re totally different environments.”

As for Hotline Miami 2: Wrong Number, it will be out in Q3 2014 and will arrive on PS3, PS Vita, PS4, PC, Mac and Linux. Stay tuned for more details on the original’s PS4 release in the coming weeks.
