Hyper Light Drifter

Heart Machine’s Hyper Light Drifter has seen a long development journey but it finally has a release date – it will be available on March 31st for Windows and Mac OS X. PS4 and Xbox One releases are planned for mid-2016. Check out the newest trailer below.

As a 3D action RPG in the vein of The Legend of Zelda, Hyper Light Drifter sees you exploring the ruins of the world in order to find a cure for an illness. The story is inspired by lead developer and animator Alex Preston’s heart disease. It was originally funded on Kickstarter with a goal of $27,000 but eventually garnered $600,000, thus allowing for the scope to expand. The overall development and issues with Preston’s health delayed the game but it’s finally here.

Will you be picking up Hyper Light Drifter? Let us know your thoughts in the comments below and stay tuned for more information on the game in the coming week.
