inFamous: Second Son Won’t Get A Demo

"Won't do justice to the game."

Infamous: Second Son

Many of us who’ve been awaiting the release of inFamous: Second Son have been wondering if we’ll get the chance to test the waters and maybe play bits and pieces of the game before it comes out. We’ve all been hoping for a demo of the game. However, Sucker Punch has confirmed that there will be no inFamous: Second Son demo for us to play.

Brand development director Ken Schramm says the game won’t be getting a demo, since, by virtue of being an open world game, the developers won’t be able to do justice to the game with just a demo and won’t be able to show everything about the game that they want to.

“I don’t think we’re going to have a demo,” Schramm told VideoGamer. “It’s hard to have a demo with an open world game to be honest with you. You what, pick two missions out of the whole thing then you give them a little slice of the world, you gotta make all these walls? I don’t think [having a demo] does justice to an open-world game.”

Oh, well, the wait’s almost over anyway. inFamous: Second Son launches for the PS4 on March 21.
