A new video for NetheRealm Studios’ Injustice 2 has been released and goes into detail about the game’s new Gear system. Check it out below.

As you play through the game and level, you’ll unlock different Gear to equip which can increase your base stats and change your look. Certain pieces of Gear form a set and provide a bonus when all the set pieces are equipped.

Not everything is determined by Gear though as you can unlock new abilities by completing certain achievements. Overall, the Gear system offers a way to customize your overall fighting style while providing an RPG loot grinder element to keep you coming back for more.

Injustice 2 is a follow-up to the original and features new fighters like Supergirl, Brainiac, Blue Beetle, Doctor Fate, Poison Ivy, Swamp Thing and many more. It releases on May 16th for Xbox One and PS4. What are your thoughts on the Gear system? Let us know below.
