This was the mother of all plot twists, that one no one saw coming. The year was 1987, and many gamers were under the assumption that Samus was a guy and they were quite comfortable in the fact that almost every character they played was a guy..but there was one hitch. While we were reveling in the fact that here was a gaming hero we could finally look up to as a shining beacon of everything a man should be, Samus finally unmasks, and we find out the world’s toughest guy is a girl. Shocking as hell.
