Marvel's Spider-Man Remastered

Insomniac recently announced Marvel’s Spider-Man Remastered would be getting a couple of new suits to celebrate the upcoming release of Tom Holland starrer Spider-Man: No Way Home. However, the fact that only owners of Marvel’s Spider-Man Remastered would be getting the suits, leaving out anyone who only has the original game on the PS4, has rubbed many fans the wrong way, to which Insomniac has responded on Twitter.

The developer explains that since the release of Marvel’s Spider-Man on the PS4 in 2018, there have been numerous post-launch patches, which have significantly made the HDD streaming more complex to maintain. To mitigate any issues with performance, Insomniac has gone with keeping the DLC suits exclusive to the game’s PS5 edition, which has a superior streaming system than the original.

Marvel’s Spider-Man Remastered is a pack-in game for those who own Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales Ultimate Edition on the PS5. The updated version of the 2018 game comes with support for ray-tracing and 60 fps, and of course, has all post-launch DLC included on disc.
