A new trademark filing has recently been discovered, connected to Insomniac Games, famed developer of the Ratchet & Clank series before they embarked on their merry multi-platforming ways.

This new trademark indicates an “on-line computer game” by the name of Sunset Overdrive. There’s really nothing beyond that, with the trademark being filed on February 21st 2013.

The “on-line” part of that document is interesting. While we don’t “computer game” means it will be heading to just the PC (if at all), the fact that whatever this is could be an on-line game either indicates another social game or a full-fledged new console game.

As of now, Insomniac Games is busy working on FUSE, a third person cooperative action adventure shooter with four different characters each with their own unique skills and weapons. The game is scheduled to release in the second quarter of 2013 for Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3, and marks the first time the developer has made a game without Sony as a publisher.
