People like to speculate about the unknown, it’s what we do, and because of that there’s some folks that are feverishly digging into the ongoing Call of Duty mystery. I don’t know much about the US’s armed forces, but apparently the viral teases being dispersed over Snapchat have a pattern, one that is said to link to the 101st Airborne Division, also known as the Screaming Eagles.

Fans have already determined that the Helicopter featured in one of the videos was a “Sikorsky UH-60 Blackhawk”, which first took to the skies piloted by members of the 101st Combat Aviation Brigade. Locations also seem to point towards involvement with the 101st, notably Ardennes Forest and the Battle of the Bulge due to a recent Snapchat tease that mentioned a “Frozen Forest”.

One exceptionally sharp eyed YouTuber, TheGameWarrior, pointed out that voice actor James C. Burns, who plays Frank Woods in Black Ops 1 & 2, can bee seen wearing a cap that is adorned with the 101st Airborne Divisions insignia, the screaming eagle in a video. In one video, Burns says he “will be talking about the next Call of Duty game in whatever limited fashion [he] can”. Perhaps this limited fashion was a literal piece of fashion, his hat.

Thanks, MP1st.
