Satoru Iwata, Nintendo boss, wanted the 3DS to release this Holidays, but production worries forced him to delay the launch, MF Global FXA Securities analyst Jay Defibaugh says.
Speaking after the Nintendo Conference 2010 which was recently held in Japan, Defibaugh said that the conference was a “worst-case scenario” for Nintendo.
As opposed to the February/March 2011 launch and the 25,000 yen price tag, he expected a 2010 release date and a 20,000 yen price point.
