Joseph Capelli Protagonist In Resistance 3?

(SPOILER WARNING)

Recently, a lot of Resistance 3 screenshots got leaked, and not only did they shows just how depressing Resistance 3 will most probably be, they also hint at the fact that Joseph Capelli, the US Marine who shot Nathan Hale, the protagonist of the series, point blank at the end of Resistance 2, might be the hero of Res3.

PSM3, via CVG, has reported that three of the images that got leaked had the following filenames: Capelli_Grim, Capelli_Grims and Haven_Capelli.

Could this mean that Capelli will be the leading man in Insomniac’s upcoming First Person Shooter? PSM3 sure thinks so. The gaming mag writes: ‘”They’re calling to us… it’s beautiful. This is just the beginning!” growls Nathan Hale at the end of Resistance 2, before being shot by US Sentinel Joseph Capelli. Is Hale dead? Unlikely – but he may play Resistance 3’s villain, having been consumed by the Chimera virus and, perhaps, adopting the persona of R2 antagonist Daedalus.’

PSM3 thinks Capelli, the US sentinel, will return, this time as a plabyable character, and the main protagonist of the game and Nathan Hale will return as the villain. We think the same, except for the fact that Nathan Hale is long dead, so according to us, the only part where he will be playable will be in possible flashbacks or maybe supernatural segments.
